Prices from £7.00  Historical directories are useful records for family historians: even if you don't find your ancestors, these scanned searchable digital files can reveal information about the places where they lived. Often containing an alphabetical list of inhabitants and a potted history of a place they also contain, lists of residents and their trades, and details about schools or places of worship. The My History Data CD range consists of over 250 CDs covering trade directories and old maps for nearly all the counties in England and a few for Scotland and Wales. Some of these directories date back to the early 19th century and come through to the early part of the 20th century so if you have ancestors in some form of trade or profession then it's quite likely that they will appear in one of the directories.
